Mel Kiper 2011 Mock Draft - ESPN's Mel Kiper has released his first 2011 mock draft, but it is hidden behind the ESPN Insider wall. No problem... For his top 5 he's got Panthers taking Auburn DT Nick Fairley, the Denver Broncos taking LSU CB Patrick Peterson, The Buffalo Bills taking Alabama DE Marcell Dareus, the Cincinnati Bengals taking Clemson DE Da'Quan Bowers, and finally the Cardinals taking the initial QB off the board with Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert.
As for the Eagles, Kiper has them taking Wisconsin OT Gabe Carimi. He had this to say.
"The Eagles are loaded in the skill positions and did a nice job of hitting defense early in last year's draft, so they should address the offensive line at a place exactly where the value meets the need. In Carimi they get a guy who loves to run-block and will sustain his blocks into the parking lot. He plays with an edge but needs continued development as a pass-blocker. His film against some big-time prospects this year shows a guy ready to contribute."
I've said that the #1 priority in this year's draft is either going to be offensive line or corner. Carimi is a giant at 6-7, 327 pounds and regardless of whether the Eagle settle him in at RG or RT, he looks like he could be a instant updgrade to a line that really struggled last season.
